Homeowner led sewer repair financial assistance program.
• Home Improvement Loan: Dakota County CDA assists low- and moderate-income homeowners with repairs and improvements. 0% Interest – no monthly payments – repayment due upon ownership change or if you move from the property – loan amounts: $15,000 minimum, $35,000 maximum.
• Grant Rebate: Applicants must provide verification of the I&I issue (tree roots, cracks in the service, etc.) to the Public Works Department. Receipts with dates for work and materials must be submitted after grant approval. Repairs completed before grant acceptance are not eligible. Grant awards cover 50% of eligible costs, up to $5,000. For private property owners meeting their municipality’s equity criteria, the grant award may increase up to $10,000. Limited availability.
South St. Paul does not require Inflow & Infiltration (I&I) sewer certification for home sales.
